How to Apply for Government Benefits (SNAP, Medicaid, and TANF)

There are a couple of ways a person can apply for benefits.

• Contact Center: 1-877 423 4746
• Georgia Gateway: An eligibility determination system for a number of social benefit programs (Health Coverage, Child Care and Parent Services, Food Stamps (SNAP), Temporary Assistance for Needy Families (TANF) and Women, Infants and Children (WIC). 

Select Georgia Gateway Services to access more information and to apply for benefits.

Applying for benefits online:

Log on to Georgia Gateway Services and select “Apply for Benefits.” 

Hours available to apply are Monday - Friday 5 a.m. – Midnight, excluding weekends and holidays.

Once you create an account and log in, you will see image below. Select Self and apply for the benefits you need (see image provided).
